Information on exam venues and how to change your venue

  • Exam venues

If the assessment requirements of your course include a supervised exam, then you are required to attend an in-person exam at an Open Polytechnic approved exam venue.

    • You will be allocated to the exam venue nearest to the home address we currently have listed for you (check MyOP and update your address as needed).
    • Your exam venue will be on your exam admittance letter which is emailed to you approximately three weeks before your exam. Note: you will receive an email and admittance letters for each exam you are enrolled in.

Exam venues can change from time to time so please check your admittance letter carefully.

If your exam is in a venue you have not used before, we recommend you familiarise yourself with how to get there and how long it will take before exam day. This will avoid unnecessary stress on the day of your exam.

If you are intending to sit your exam overseas please refer to:

Information about what you need to take to your exam/s is on your admittance letter and on the information for exam day web page:

  • Changing your exam venue

If you need to change your allocated exam venue, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your admittance letter.

Note: If you have two exams scheduled at the same time please contact us. We will arrange for you to sit one exam in the morning and the other in the afternoon of that day. You must remain at the venue between exams.
